Beautiful blue 'Bergslagen stone' necklace by Ove Nordström for Bergslagensmycke AB 1976, Sweden. The stones is surrounded by a silver heart frame with a silver dangling drop.
This special blue stone has various shades of blue and are amazingly enough the "leftovers" or slag which is a residual product of the iron production. This has been used since the 18th -19th centuries in Sweden in which the the slag floats on top of the melt and is discharged from the blast furnace before the metal. The slag comes in all kinds of colors and structures. 

Good vintage condition. Marked BON B10. Size: Lenght of chain (double) about 21cm. Pendant: 5.5 cmH incl hoop x 4.5 cmW x 1 cmD.
