Beautiful Fifty shades of blue 'Bergslagen stone' midcentury necklace by Ove Nordström, Skinnskatteberg 1971. Sweden. The stones has various shades of blue color and are originally the "leftovers" or slag which is a residual product of the iron production. This has been used since the 18th -19th centuries. The slag floats on top of the melt and is discharged from the blast furnace before the metal. The slag comes in all kinds of colors and structures. The color can change from light blue over clear blue and dark blue via green to black.
Quite unique bracelet and in very good vintage condition.
 
Size: Total length including the safetychain about 22cm.(18 cm without). 0,5 cmH x 2 cmW x 1 cmD (each stone).
