A very beautiful vintage Bengt Liljedahl rod chain necklace with a fantastic clear, yellow and black striped mounted glass pendant decorated with smaller yellow stripes between and then surrounded by a thin silverframe. A really beautiful piece of vintage jewelry for both parties and everyday use. Stockholm 1959. Sweden. Measures: chain length 40 cm, pendant height inclusive loop 4.5 cm, glass dimensions 2.5x3.3 cm, total weight about 37.4 g

Mid-century designer Bengt Liljedahl (1932-) graduated from the Higher Art Industrial School in Stockholm in 1953 and then studied at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 1958. He established his own midcentury silver studio in 1954, where he worked with the jewelry design and production of silver corpus. Liljedahl is one of Sweden's foremost silver smiths and is represented at the National Museum in Stockholm.
