Spectacular midcentury brass clip earrings with a purple nature stone by designer Anna Greta Eker, Norway, 1970s. Organic and oval shape with brass ornaments. A typical couple of vintage earrings reflecting some of the best work within design and silversmith art designed by Anna Greta Eker. Measures: Depth 3.9 cm, width 5 cm, height 2 cm. Good vintage condition.

Anna Greta Eker was born in Mariehamn, Finland 1926 and moved to Norway in the 1950s where she married Erling Christofferson, leader of PLUS in Fredrikstad. PLUS operated from 1958 to 1978 and was an artist colony of designers. They were renowned for its quality and superb Scandinavian modern design.
Anna Greta Eker was an important designer of the 1960s and a key figure in the PLUS organisation. Most of Eker’s jewellery featured the geometric and organic forms. When jewellery production at PLUS came to an end in the late 70s, Eker started up her own workshop using her artist name ‘AGE’ as her hallmark.
