Per Aaslids Chair factory was built and run by the furniture designer Per Aaslid (1904-1969). The Factory was located in Volda, Norway and was operating from 1936 to 1972. The chairproduction was escalating when World War II broke out, but the war led to a material cut and lower demand. However, the years after the war and until the mid-fifties were good years for the factory and at times it was not possible to meet the requests for the Per chairs. The most popular chairs were these armchairs and the rocking chair.
