A unique vintage combination of brass, copper an naturestone! Midcentury necklace/clave with integrated beautiful nature stones from the Norwegian fauna. Lovely Scandinavian modern design necklace by silversmith Anna Greta Eker. Norway 1960`s. The necklace has stringes of brass and copper braided in together and inbetween are grey nature stones. Marked with her own stamp AGEker.
Measures: Pendant width: ca 13,5 cm. depth: 1 cm. height: 20 cm.

Anna Greta Eker was born in Mariehamn, Finland in 1926 and moved to Norway in the 1950s where she married Erling Christofferson, the leader of PLUS in Fredrikstad. PLUS operated from 1958 to 1978 and was an artist colony of designers. They produced silver, baskets, furniture and pottery and their work was renowned for its quality and superb Scandinavian modern design. Anna Greta Eker was an important midcentury designer of the 1960s Norwegian and a key figure in the PLUS organisation.
