This is a one of a kind Kayser sofa model 860 in beautiful new soft plush upholstery fabric called Nerotex Eros color 11. Lipstick. Teak legs and stom. Small brassdetails on the legs. Norwegian produced rare sofa of good quality. Special sculptural shaped with beautiful lines and designs. Produced by Vatne Møbelfabrikk in Norway 1961-1962. Measures: L: 190 cm, H: 66 cm, D: ca 75 cm. Seating height 37 cm.

Fredrik Andreas Kayser (1924-1968) was an outstanding furniture designer in the Scandinavian Design period in the 1950s / 60s. Kayser was influenced by Danish Design and his furnitures was characterized by elegant design and material sensitivity. Kayser passed away at the premature age of forty-four. Although his life was short, his accomplishments and designs have earned him a place among Norway’s most important mid-century designers.
