The factory
Ipsens Enke
was founded the 15. April 1843 by former porceleianmaker Peter Ipsen. Peter Ipsen himself died in 1860 just when he began to gain recognition and become more and more famous. It was his widow Louise Christine Bierring who won the rewards after his death. Whereas the name Ipsens Enke. The fabric was closed in 1955.
