Beautiful vintage silver drop pendant on chain by Elis Kauppi for Kupittaan Kulta, Åbo Finland 1973. In the middle a lovely sand shimmering colored precious stone surrounded by a sprinkle shaped silver pendant.  Measures pendant: 5 cmH x 2 cmW x 1 cmD.
Length of chain: 40 cm. Hook lock. Good vintage condition. Hallmarked Kupittaan Kulta makers mark and 813S.

Elis Kauppi (1921 - 2004) established Kupittaan Kulta in Åbo, Finland in 1945 at the end of the Second World War, at age 24. His use of local semi-precious stones and innovative design resulted in increased attention, and by 1958 he was an award winning regular exhibitor at international shows.
