A beautiful bronze brooch or necklace designed by Studio Else & Paul, Hadeland, Oslo - Norway. A typical example of the 1970's ‘new’ look with a Tribe inspired and melted design. Also beautiful as a necklace with a chain.
The work of Else & Paul is now avidly sought after, although in their early years, they were considered to advant garde for most people.

Norwegian Else Bernstein Hughes (1938–2002) and Englishman Paul C. Hughes (1934–1981) met in 1959 at the Central School of Arts & Crafts in London. Later they established their own workshop ‘Studio Else & Paul’ in Norway.  They were known for their lovely work of using semi-precious stones such as Eilat from Israel or Malachite from Africa.
