Brass link necklace or to be used as a hip link by Norwegian silversmith Anna Greta Eker. Norway 1960/70s. Linked together with brass circles into a long leech. Marked with her stamp AGEker.
Measures: Chain: 88 cmL total lenght. Dia of rings: 1,5-2 cm.

Anna Greta Eker was born in Mariehamn, Finland in 1926 and moved to Norway in the 1950s where she married Erling Christofferson, the leader of PLUS in Fredrikstad. PLUS operated 1958 to 1978 and was a colony of designers.  Their work was renowned for its quality and superb Scandinavian modern design. Anna Greta Eker was an important designer of the 1960s and a key figure in the PLUS organisation. When jewellery production at PLUS came to an end in the late 70s Eker started up her own workshop using her artist name ‘AGE’ as her hallmark.
