Lovely earth colored pottery dish by Helle Allpass, Denmark 1960s.
This lovely bowl or dish has a rustic glazed surface and a delicate shape. The plate has striped beige and brown inner decor lines with a cobolt blue color all around. Good vintage condition and perfect Scandinavian design. Marked Allpass Danmark on the back.
Measures: 32cmD and 6,5 cmH. 

Helle Allpass (1932-2000) was an architect  from the start but followed the tradition of pottery after her father Christian Schollert and her Grandfather Christian Johansen. Helle started her own in 1964 and became very successful. She lived and worked here for the rest of her life, but sadly suffered from Parkinsons disease from 1996. Her daughter Ane Schollert worked alongside Helle during her last years, and Ane still works as a potter in Copenhagen.
